Media Files [[https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/edlitmus/characters/441657|Dacien Thricedead]]: a male Half-Elf rogue assassin, spy and nominal head of the Phandalin thieves' guild. He has been a double and even triple agent at times, working for [[obag|OBAG]] as much as for the Harpers, and very much against the Zhentarim. He has since been exposed as working against the Zhentarim who now view him as an enemy. He is a master of disguise as well as a deadly assassin, and has used these abilities to oversee many intrigues along the Sword Coast. Of note is his taking over the identity of one Marod Wistvain, a fat, rich, gem merchant who's legitimate business in Waterdeep provided cover for fencing operations. Marod worked closely with the Zhentarim as well as Xanathar's Thieves' Guild. When Dacien caught wind of a plot by the Zhentarim to obtain a powerful weapon which they planned to use on officials in Waterdeep, he assassinated Marod and assumed his identity to gain more information. He eventually recruited a band of adventurers to thwart the plans of the Zhentarim. Once the mission was complete Marod's body was discovered (along with a new will) and all his holdings were turned over to the adventurers who helped Dacien. Dacien has also served as a mentor to a Kenku Shadow Monk named [[https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/edlitmus/characters/545150|Rekorak]]. Rekorak's ability to perfectly forge any documents as well as his ability to perfectly recall and recite messages made him a valuable courier, spy and messenger spy for Dacien.
