-Born into a family of thieves, Dacien set out to make a name for himself early on. He accepted a proposal from [[Gundren Rockseeker|Gundren Rockseeker]] to guard a caravan and ended up in a tavern brawl where he encountered the warlock [[viola|Viola Spiderworth]] and the bard [[Merick the Red|Merick the Red]]. The rest, as they say, is histroy. 
  
 An original member of the [[obag|Owl’s Bar Adventuring Group]], he runs the thieves' guild in Phandalin from the cellar of [[start|Owl’s Bar]]. Recruited by the Zhentarim as an agent, he then used this position to act as a double agent on behalf of the Harpers. Dacien’s true allegiance is to [[obag|OBAG]], but it amused him to subtly thwart the Zhentarim, as he is sympathetic to the Harpers goals.
