Back Story

Iridessa Glittergem was born into a wealthy merchant family in Waterdeep. The youngest of two children, she and her sister Xyraphina were close in age but couldn’t have been more different. From an early age she was enthralled by ships and the ocean. While Xyraphina was deep into her wizard apprenticeship at Blackstaff Tower under the tutelage of Laeral Silverhand, Iridessa was learning the ins and outs of shipbuilding from the shipwrights down in the Dock Ward. When she wasn’t learning or working, she would spend all of her free time just watching and sketching ships. Longing for adventure, she was not content to stay in the relative safety and comfort of Waterdeep and so she has spent the past few seasons in Saltmarsh making a name for herself among the ship crews. She longs to one day build and captain her own ship.
