**Backstory**

Nastassia is quite young by elf standards - a little under 100. She showed a gift for magic, and specifically divination magic, at a very young age and has been studying ever since. Her studies brought her to Candlekeep, just to the south of Baldurs Gate, where she has been studying for the past 20 years. She has a familiar named Delphina who usually takes the form of a lynx-point Siamese cat but she has been known to assume other forms, such as an owl, when the need arises. 

For the past 7 years she has been responsible for maintaining a library and scriptorium on behalf of Candlekeep in Baldurs Gate. She has found her time in The Gate quite fascinating. Her studies in divination magic paired up with her natural curiosity for the world has made her quite a useful contact for a range of folks in the city. Whenever a noteworthy crime or mysterious happening occurs in the city she usually has a list of suspects who, if they aren’t involved, have a strong chance of knowing who is. While she has been known to sell this information, she only does so when she believes it is the right thing to do and the proceeds almost entirely go to funding the scriptorium.
